Pharmacy Management and Research Scholarship

The purpose of the Fund shall be to foster, encourage and assist those engaged in community pharmacy. The annual income of the Fund shall be available for, but not limited to, the following:
1. The monitoring and circulation of pharmacy industry information occurring between and among various constituent elements.
2. The organization of pharmacy industry information in ways that promote understanding of the interdependencies among recurring and emerging events and more accurate predictions of future outcome.
3. Provide assistance to individuals and groups in formulating strategic responses to emerging changes in the professional pharmacy environment.
4. The creation of a data base that describes and characterizes changes of relevance to pharmacy management activities. The major organizing elements of this data base should include: a) Health care practices; b) Product and delivery systems; c) Market outlets; d) Regulation; e) Pharmacy profession; f) Consumers; g) Economic characteristics.

Programs, projects or activities may be funded for a term of years or on a one-time basis. Funding shall be evaluated on an annual basis.

The Dean of the College of Pharmacy shall have primary responsibility for the management of the Pharmacy Management and Research Fund. Only the income from the Pharmacy Management and Research Endowment may be spent. The principal account shall not be expended."
